Mod Pizza in Lynnwood Delivers on their Promise!
It was Sunday and no one felt like cooking, so on the way back from my afternoon listing appointment I dropped into the new Mod Pizza in Lynnwood on 164th by the Alderwood Fred Meyers.
Mod Pizza was launched in 2008 down in Union Square by a group of Seattle entrepreneurs. Since then they have expended to four more locations with the Alderwood MOD being the latest addition.
Mod Pizza is built on the concept of fast, delicious, made on demand pizza served hot at a great price. You won’t find a faster place to get pizza in Lynnwood, that is for sure and while the pizza’s aren’t huge, they are a great value at $6.88.
Just to get a good sample of what they have to offer, I got three pizzas. The Mad dog, Caspian and the Tristan. One thing that they all had in common is that the crust was crispy on the bottom and had great flavor, a lot like the pizza we make at home.
The Mad Dog pizza is a simple all meat pizza with red sauce, mozzarella pepperoni, mild Italian sausage, and crumbled meatballs. A hit with my 7 year old daughter this one was really yummy and went away in a hurry.
The Caspian pizza is a wonderful blend of BBQ, chicken, Gorgonzola and Mozzarella cheese. This one had just the right amount of tangy goodness without being overpowering.
Lastly, the Tristan is a tasty blend of very light flavors with roasted peppers, Mozzarella, mushrooms and a sprinkle of pesto. This would be great paired up with one of their deluxe salads.
While Mod won’t take the place of The Rock Wood Fired Pizza as my favorite place to go sit and have pizza ( I love the Founders Pie), it is definitely a faster choice for pizza in Lynnwood for when you are on the run.
Next time you need to grab some pizza quick and want it to be good, I definitely suggest that you swing into Mod Pizza and order up a pie or two!
